Photos by Erica Robinson.
My earliest memories are of backpacking in the High Sierras with my dad, mom, sister, and my dad's camera. Pure nature, and his photography prints of sunsets, created the backdrop of my childhood.
Due to this early access to this artform, I have been taking photos since I was in elementary school. I started out with a cheap old 35 mm camera and eventually graduated to the DSLR era.
The main focus of my photography is to capture the wonder and beauty of nature as I have always seen it, as well as the strength it gives those who seek it out, both mentally and physically.
My goal is to showcase the close relationship humans have with nature, and the cause and effects of our actions toward it. I want to begin a discussion about conservation.
